MOJO JAPAN SIGNED MOU WITH Global DX KK TO ACCELERATE INTERNATIONAL STARTUP ECOSYSTEMS IN JAPAN
Osaka, Feb, 2022: Announcing the signing of a cooperation MOU between Osaka based companies Global Digital MOJO KK and Global DX KK to develop global startup and acceleration ecosystems, and communities.
The companies agree to the following joint-activities
- Co-curate thought-leadership pieces on inbound DX business into Japan e.g. Webinars, LinkedIn Pulse/Medium articles/PR Times.
- Develop international ecosystems for Japanese and international startups, companies, government agencies, NGOs and individuals.
- Use the ecosystem as a funnel to join innovative online and offline events/programmes in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop new ways to build collaboration using the Global Digital MOJO KK META:SPACES virtual event platform and related tools and technologies.
Global Digital MOJO President Dr David Williams said “as a global company, we value partnerships that allow us to reach new audiences and develop new innovative products and services. Japan represents unique opportunities for overseas companies but they require close support”.
Global DX KK CEO Akihiro Hikita said “We are excited to partner with Global Digital MOJO to offer more engaging content & more comprehensive services to help Japanese cities & companies become global innovation hubs; attracting world-class technology companies, & supporting them to collaborate successfully. This is essential to accelerate digital transformation (DX) in Japan, & to maintain its status as a globally competitive economy.”
Their first joint event took place on Feb 3rd at the “2022 Canadian Technology Accelerator Mentor Session”. A government-sponsored program aimed at bringing seven Canadian startups to the Japanese market.
As part of this event, there were pitching sections, Q&As, and one-on-one mentoring support. Experienced marketers can offer startups valuable insights into Japan’s business model. External mentors will provide advice and support as needed during this time, and will assist them in identifying their business stages based on market validation, entry or expansion plans.
This year’s candidates were 3D CityScapes, eQuake Systems, Humanitas Solutions, IFiveo, Longan Vision, RideShark, and Weavair. At the end of the three-month program, startups will present their business development to large corporations, SME, universities, academia, research institutes, and municipalities/government representatives.
In order to accelerate international startup ecosystems in Japan, Global Digital MOJO and Global DX will continue to practice those tactics and expand their activities in the coming months.
